Youth constitute 25% of humanity and must start driving socio-economic reforms


The youth population of the world is the largest it has ever been. There are 1.8 billion people between the ages of 10 and 24 making it 25% of humanity. The majority of youth live in urban areas of developing nations making them a truly powerful force to drive change if they can come together.   However, the governance structures largely exclude them from adult-driven decision making. Yet, their voice, ideas, and beliefs will be the key to driving next-generation, socio-economic reforms.   To enable their voice to have the strength to fight, and win, young people, must stop discriminating on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, physical ability, caste, culture, or wealth.
