MODULE 5 How to solve the biggest problems when you are the smallest one attempting that
There are countless examples of brilliant solutions to the world's most difficult problems that stemmed from kids' creative spirit. Teaching kids about ideation, prototyping and the whole process of inventing something is our way of adding the final skill to their decoding minds. By sharing with them examples of inventions done by kids around the world (from the Little Inventors project up to amazing creations in Minecraft, Roblox, Tinkercad, etc.), we will trigger their motivation to want to discover and learn more about what superpowers STEAM knowledge can give them.
MODULE 4 How to check if forests are actually mazes in a bigger maze
Kids feel the natural desire to explore, to navigate and to discover. And that is why we will take on a journey where they will fight dragons, save princesses or grow little monkeys through the pixel forests in educational games such as CodeMonkey, CodeCombat or Tynker. They will develop and enhance their analytical, logical and algorithmic thinking in such a way that any problem that the world will throw at them throughout their life will seem to them like just another puzzle that they deconstruct and solve with patience.
MODULE 3 WEEK 3 How to create things from scratch, thin air, magic powder and other key ingredients
People keep telling kids that they can create things that go beyond their imagination. But have they ever checked what's the border of their imagination? This is why we will go to the boundary of the imagination kingdom and create new stories and new realms from there on. By using the creation capabilities of platforms such as Code.org, Scratch or VidCode, kids will learn how to create and tell compelling stories, how to apply meaning to things they create and how to collaborate to spread their wonderful creations.
MODULE 2 How to build, control and make your robot smarter
Since the times of Power Rangers and Transformers, kids have wanted to have their own robot. We take the first steps. Digitally. We sketch them, we select features, we maneuver them and we put our robots through challenges and we train them to become smarter. Through games and platforms such as ABCYA and Lightbot, kids will sharpen their logic, their critical thinking and their adapting capacity.
